Scheels Interactive Touch Wall
Scheels is known for their gigantic 200,000+ sq/ft sporting goods stores around the country that contain various eye-popping attractions (giant fish tanks, ferris wheels, etc). They tasked our team with creating an engaging interactive touch wall in each store's lobby. I became a lone wolf on this project responsible for the creative direction, programming, and management for all 11 walls.
The initial concept was to create a HUD display laid over first-person GoPro footage of various extreme sports creating an immersive visceral experience. From there the user could watch Scheels branded videos, look for upcoming in-store events, or play interactive games like Putt-Putt Golf and Duck Hunter. Kids absolutely loved the games. Their parents who wanted to leave...not so much.
